This is a great place to do business. The mechanics are smart, quick, and personable. Their work is excellent, at or below cost estimate, and on time. If unexpected problems are found they give us options for how to proceed. Our time and budget are respected. I always notice a well-run front office (so many small businesses underestimate the importance of this). This one is top-notch.

Knowledgeable, always courteous, explains things well. Not cheap, but not more expensive than other shops (and cheaper than the dealers, which doesn't say much). I've been taking our VW here since 2002. When you find a good mechanic, you stick with them.

I was referred to Sunnyvale Foreign Car Service Foreign Car to fix a problem that another independant shop had created & from the minute I walked in & was greeted by Daniel I could tell that my vehicle was in good hands. Matt ( I believe the owner ) called me after my car was inspected for a severe oil leak. The news was not good but I was assured that the problem was repairable.After fully diagnosing the problem It was determined that I needed a new cylinder head & Matt & his crew tried locating me a less expensive part but with no luck. To make a long story short, I had to use a brand new cylinder head from the dealer ( which I'm sure is the better way to go anyway) & they got my car back together & it is running great without a drop of oil leaking. All in All after only one visit to SFC I would recommend them to anyone. Quality work, honest & fair charges & a over all pleasure to deal with. Sunnyvale Foreign Car Service always delivers excellent car service and customer care. They are very accommodating in scheduling appointments on short notice. This service was for a routine oil change during which time they also found a nail in the tire. After giving me the estimate, the problem was solved and fixed in less than 30 minutes at a very affordable rate. I continue to recommend Sunnyvale Foreign Car Service because I truly feel they always cover the customer's best interests.

I really appreciate helpful thoughtful and kind mechanics. I brought in my 10 year old car with 192,000 miles and the transmission was not functioning properly. They helped me avoid a new transmission and gave my car a new life for $135 as opposed to the $5200 it would have cost if they had not been thoughtful and willing to try things.

I needed someplace local to have my daughter's 2001 Subaru Outback's brakes checked before she took it back to Montana. I checked the web for "Brake Repair" in Mountain View, and Sunnyvale Foreign Car Service popped up in my browser. I then read the Yelp reviews and decided to give them a try. I called for an appointment and ended up having a great conversation about Subaru's with the owner Matt, who scheduled my appointment.

As always, this company is first class. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive to your questions. The company has serviced my husband's car for over 5 years and my new car for a year. We always are thankful that there is still a 'mom and pops' type of place that cares about quality and customer service. We have had small blips come up and they are always ready to take care of things. They also are not nearly as expensive as a dealer and you are always talking to someone who knows cars.I would never go anywhere else!
